ALL-ON-X DENTAL IMPLANTS ARLINGTON

All-On-X Implant Dentistry

All-On-X dental implants provide a permanent full mouth reconstruction solution for patients with teeth that are missing, damaged, or need to be removed. The All-On-X dental implant procedure does not limit the number of implants that can be used, which allows for a customized number of dental implants to be utilized. The appropriate number of dental implants used to anchor the fixed prosthesis to the entire upper or lower jaw is determined by the individual needs and jawbone density of each patient. Patients with missing, damaged, or decayed teeth can benefit from All-On-X dental implants as it provides natural-looking, long-lasting results.

What are All-On-X dental implants?

All-On-X dental implants are full arch fixed prosthesis used to replace the missing teeth of the entire upper or lower jaw using a customized number of dental implants. The fixed prosthesis is secured to the dental implants, leaving patients with a new, natural-looking smile. During the All-On-X dental implant procedure, the placement of the dental implants are carefully considered. Rather than placing the dental implants straight into the jawbone like previous traditional methods, angling the implants allows for more available bone to be utilized for your new teeth to have a stronger, sturdier foundation.

What are the benefits of All-On-X dental implants?

The number of dental implants used for All-On-X is tailored to each patients’ unique smile, health, jawbone density, and goals. All-On-X dental implants function, look, and feel like natural teeth. All-On-X dental implants are long-lasting, durable, and help maintain healthy jawbone density and prevent jawbone resorption over time. The process of placing All-On-X dental implants is less invasive than previous traditional dental implant methods such as dentures or dental bridges.

Traditional dental implant methods required the use of a singular dental implant and screw for each tooth being repaired. With All-On-X dental implants, oral surgeons now have the ability to use fewer dental implants, while replacing more teeth at once.

How Are All-On-X Dental Implants Different From All-On-4 & All-On-6 Dental Implants?

All-On-4, All-On-6, and All-On-X dental implants are minimally invasive, permanent tooth replacement solutions. These procedures are ideal for patients with missing, damaged, or decayed teeth, or those who have lost the majority of their teeth along their upper or lower jaw. All-On-4 dental implants place four anchorage screws into the gumline as the foundation for your future set of teeth. Similarly, All-On-6 dental implants utilize six anchorage screws for the same result. The two additional screws are beneficial for patients with mouth, or jawbone conditions that require additional support.

All-On-X dental implants differ from All-On-4 and All-On-6 dental implants as there is no specific or set number of dental implant screws used for this procedure. All-On-X dental implants implements a customized number of dental implant screws based on the patients’ needs and jawbone density. The specific approach of All-On-X provides oral surgeons the flexibility to determine a suitable number of dental implant screws, resulting in the most natural, realistic restoration to your smile.

At Pashapour Oral + Facial Surgery, we are proud to offer the highest standard of care for every one of our patients. One of the ways we do that is by offering our own state-of-the-art in-house dental lab. Having an in-house lab allows our staff and oral surgeon to work alongside each other to ensure the perfect fit and functionality of your All-On-X dental prosthetic. Traditionally oral surgeons outsource their lab work, which can lead to increased waiting times and decreased communication. However, our in-house lab allows for faster turnaround times and enhanced communication between our oral surgeon, lab technicians, and patients.

What Should I Expect After My All-On-X Dental Implant Surgery?

After the initial placement of the dental implant screws, a set of temporary teeth are placed to prevent difficulties in eating, drinking, or talking during the healing process. The healing process allows for your dental implants to heal to your gums and jawbone. This process is called osseointegration which can take anywhere from 3-5 months. This creates a secure, long-lasting foundation to place your future All-On-X dental implants.

Following the healing process, the final steps of the All-On-X dental implants process will be completed with another visit to our office. During this visit, Dr. Pashapour and his surgical team will place your permanent teeth, guaranteeing the life of your All-On-X dental implants.
